Photographing landscapes through architectural elements such as narrow slits, gratings and small round windows is one of my fixations. Whether I have to climb or kneel down to the ground, if there’s a slit I have to look through it to see what’s on the other side. Who knows? Something stunning might be awaiting.
This picture was taken in Verona on Ponte Pietra, an ancient bridge from the Roman era. Through the hole you see the Adige river and the embankment that runs along it.
